Handmade Geranium Sugar Scrub

SHARE

Geranium has a special place in our families' hearts. It was one of the big, beautiful bushes outside her little flat.

Our daughters spent time out there smelling and picking them. Always so much abundance!

When Nan passed away I took cuttings of the varying plants she had around the property (and she had a lot).

Those very same flowers that were gifted as part of a Christmas gift this year, and as pictured above grew from the very same bush that was growing outside her window.

To make a Homemade Geranium Sugar Scrub

For a skin-loving, fragrant exfoliant, storing it in a jar for use.

  • Combine 1 cup of sugar (brown or white) with

  • 1/2 cup of a carrier oil like coconut or olive oil

  • then mix in 10-20 drops of geranium essential oil

Homemade Geranium Sugar Scrub as a Christmas gift

For this gift I doubled the mix above to make 4 jars worth. I had purchased a set of 4 small preserving jars from The Warehouse. They were the perfect size!

For the essential oils, I only purchase these from Zurma Botanical Oil Studio (message me if you are in Christchurch and would like a discount through my wholesale account with them).
